beelzerobsays...Sooo...dropping something made of glass can break it?
budzossays...Next big thing will be display-less phones/tablets. Everything will be a projector and you'll start to see little projector screen surfaces everywhere like on the back of seats, on table surfaces, on desks. The projectors will also be able to beam directly into your eye or more likely transmit wireless video to a screen in your contacts or glasses.
siftbotsays...Moving this video to Psychologic's personal queue. It failed to receive enough votes to get sifted up to the front page within 2 days.
Psychologicsays...Bad siftbot, *obey!
siftbotsays...Self promoting this video and sending it back into the queue for one more try; last queued - promote requested by original submitter Psychologic.

iPad 2 glass is definitely fragile. I dropped it on linoneleum and it cracked in the corner - Apple store did do an instant refurb swap for me though. Is it possible to make a plastic capactive touch screen?
mrsidsays...Just don't drop it then?
deathcowsays...damn that sucks dag, glad they took care of it... i am still waiting for ours to get destroyed

It's a really fragile piece of kit, but I've got a leather case around the new one and it's fine. Does Anchorage have an Apple Store?>> ^deathcow:

They all (or I assume all) use some kind of Gorilla Glass, www.corninggorillaglass.com/faqs/all , which is tougher than "normal" glass.
Psychologicsays...I've probably dropped by phone 10+ times since I got it, but luckily it has never hurt the glass. That will probably change the moment I upgrade.
