Fusionautsays...Love the victory dance when he catches it.
antsays...Is that play still valid today?
Birdmansays...Too bad it's without sound. Would've loved to hear the crowd's reaction to this one.
ridesallyridencsays...Jimmy Connors was such a cool freaking guy. I got to hang out with him when I was a kid, and he was one of the genuinely nice, sincere professional athletes. He treated his fans like a privilege, not an annoyance. 20+ years later, and I still respect him for that.
robbersdog49says...The shot was cool, but the victory dance was even better
sbchapmsays...Connors did lose this point, I'm almost positive. It's against the rules.
kymbossays..."Tennis player"? It's Jimmy freakin' Connors!

Page 10 says you lose the point if your racket touches the ball when not in your hand.
COriolanussays...The "rules" suck.
Paybacksays...Like all massive "GAH!!" plays, they are done for emotional impact, not points.

Def not. Racket must be in your hand in order to make a valid play. I remember this happening, it was awesome.. but sadly, however fairly, not counted.

Thanks. Aww, I thought it would count and then later the rule was added.

Why would you invent rules that dissuade people from watching?
