Teen Gets Better Job After Walking to Interview In Snow

(youtube) Jhaqueil Reagan, 18, was so desperate to get a minimum wage-paying job at a thrift store that he he hiked more than 10 miles in the Indianapolis snow just for an interview. About halfway through the trek, he was spotted by restaurant owner Art Bouvier, who was so taken with his determination that he posted to Facebook about the encounter, Fox 59 reports. Over 15,000 likes later, Reagan's got a job, but not at the thrift store.

"I'm thinking to myself, here's a kid walking almost 10 miles in the ice and slush and snow for the hope of a job at minimum wage," Bouvier, who hired Reagan to work at his restaurant, Papa Roux Cajun Cooking shortly after their chance encounter, he told Fox 59. "That's the kind of story your parents used to tell, my parents used to tell, up both ways in the snow."
