I think it's clear, that we should stop teaching foreign languages completely. I mean, we're at war with foreigners! Do we want our children to be foreign sympathizers???

That really irks me. Chinese is an ethnicity - not a language.

The real question here shouldn't be what children is learning, but whether the school's strategery for preparing these children for real life will allow them to someday put food on their families.

English is not a language either...it is a dog-bowl of Purina dog chow and it tastes bad. I find it funny that the only people that mess up the "Chinese" = language part are the children and the blonde lady...

they seem to avoid it pretty well by saying "chinese language" and not "THE chinese language," but there are a few slip ups

The part that really worries me, is how so many adults fight the wars of their childhoods. I fear for what pointless crusades today's teens will put us through in 30 years.


The only threat china poses to us right now is due to the fact that we keep selling all of our debt to them. There is no ideological or military threat, merely the fact that at some point, china will pretty much own the US by virtue of having purchased it through our free market system.
