Synchronous Firefly Display

In a few places in the world, mainly southeast Asia and the southern US, fireflies will display synchronous flashing. Many of the insects on a single tree or sometimes a larger area start to flash randomly but after a while will take cues from the other flashes and start to flash in unison. Apologies for the dark quality of video but it is a night shot after all.
