PlayhousePalssays...That was almost as fast as this video is gonna sift! =oD
TheSluiceGatesays...Wow, QWOP looks amazing on the Unreal Engine!
critical_dsays...Is anyone else creeped the fuck out by this???
Porksandwichsays...How?
Fantomassays...When Jesus returns, this is how he'll arrive.
Deanosays...*skillful
siftbotsays...Adding video to channels (Skillful) - requested by Deano.
Fletchsays...If HuffPo keeps using VideoSift to find videos (and there is no doubt they do), they should at least use the VS embed.
BoneRemakesays...>> ^Porksandwich:

Physics porky.
direpicklesays...FTFY.

probiesays...This is how we're all going to look once CERN opens up that black hole.
A10anissays...If you watch at the end, when he attempts to stop, you notice his feet are still moving backwards which almost makes him fall. Also, I think sparks are just discernible as he crosses pedestrian bit. These observations, coupled with the sound, make me think that he is wearing those shoes with the tiny wheels on them. My kids have them.

For the record, I do not believe that Bigfoot can moonwalk.

Yeah I tried googling up a pair of bright green shoes with wheels, couldn't find them. But the brand name I found was Heely.....maybe there's another brand.
Bloodscourgesays...As a person who has a lot of footwork focus when I dance, I can explain this.
From a stand he leans forward and slings one leg back very quickly. While the momentum is still carrying him backwards, he has to immediately bring the back leg forward, and the front leg back to keep himself moving. From that point he is pretty much in a constant falling state where the foot coming forward catching himself since the other foot must be thrown back to maintain momentum. Notice his back foot is barely getting underneath in time while the other foot has already started to be flung out. His timing is just cray good. This is also why you see him stumble at the end. His foot-speed countered momentum stopped so he ended up falling forward from his counter balance.
Hope this helps the blown brains.
Bloodscourgesays...Oh, and he isn't wearing "Heely" shoes, this guy is just damn good.

Definitely wheels...You can even see him winding them up at the start before suddenly taking off. And watch again, because his "stumble" at the end is not just his momentum, you can clearly see him skating. I'm surprised people cannot see it.
Bloodscourgesays...Um, not really. I don't know what kind of skates you have ever used, but you don't "wind up" skate wheels. What he is doing at the beginning is getting his step right before he launches backward. Like I said, it's a controlled fall. The end with him stumbling is due to his aforementioned backward momentum, slick shoes and a slick wet surface. Also, if they were wheels, you wouldn't hear the scraping of shoe tread on the ground as he did this either. By you'r logic, when I do my foot glides (and I stumble), then I'm wearing wheels. There actually is an art to doing this right, and it's supposed to look like you're on wheels when done correctly; otherwise, it's not a glide. This is just an extremely exaggerated glide.

"There are none so blind as those who will not see." What you claim he is doing with just shoes is, literally, impossible. As i stated, my kids have these wheeled shoes. Never mind though, I give up trying to make you open your eyes. Oh, and btw, I have a few card tricks you will believe are magic too.
Bloodscourgesays...You're obviously not familiar with things like momentum and weight shifting on your feet, no matter how I break it down to you. I guess you can't teach stupid people new things.

Does this settle whether there are wheels or not?
Bloodscourgesays...@A10anis - Just a heads up.
Actually you just proved they aren't wheeled shoes. The videosift title says they are, but it's incorrect. Put the video you linked in 720p and go max screen, you notice the Nike Swoosh on each shoe. Nike DOES NOT MAKE WHEELED SHOES!!!!
You notice the green one, where it's a black outline with the swoosh inside of it, you notice he is wearing that same shoe pair in this video. So thank you for actually proving me right. I couldn't see what kind of shoe he was wearing in the original video, this confirmed it.
Here are the shoes he is wearing. Nike Free Run +3.

bareboards2says...@Bloodscourge -- I was making a joke. Clearly those aren't wheelie shoes. I don't know if the shoes are the same as the super moonwalking shoes. They look the same to me.
A joke isn't funny if you have to explain it. My bad.
And I posted that vid, not @A10anis
Bloodscourgesays...I apologize if I had a terse tone. I was more just pointing out the information in the second provided video supports and confirms my claim. Was not my intention to sound like an ass or bring you in on it in any way sir. I think I was, however, in full XKCD mode; which is why I missed the humor in the line. My apologies.

Clearly you can, because you have taught yourself that physics can be denied. I'm done.
Bloodscourgesays...So you quote the convo to add something to one of your response lines even after I have been proven he is wearing regular shoes. You're pathetic. In the words of 4chan/b "Kindly, kill yourself."
