TELEGRAPH -- Tyler, 61, was belting out his band's hit song Love in an Elevator at the concert in South Dakota. But as he strutted along a narrow catwalk jutting out from the stage he mistimed a step and tumbled backwards into the crowd.
His "stage dive" was unplanned and security guards rushed to help him. The crowd cheered as Tyler was helped back on to his feet but he had sustained head, neck and shoulder injuries and was taken by helicopter to hospital in Rapid City.
