My nephews and their friends used to ask me stuff all the time. I knew most and the ones I didn't know usually ended up on a journey of sorts, madly encouraged by me with a "GOOD question, wow I like the way you think" kind of attitude. Now they stay mute as if to not admit their ignorance, then look it up later if they remember or care to.

I personally make it a point to ask people stuff all the time, even when i know I can google it, just to see their faces light up in response.
