Sent to UK, 1917, found in 2010 . The last poppy from WW1

LiveLeak: THE last poppy from World War One has been discovered preserved in an attic. Soldier Percy Hands carefully stitched the poppy to a postcard and sent it home to his wife Mary in 1917.

The love token lay hidden in an envelope for years until Percy's grand-daughter Chris Bal More..dwin found it on Thursday - Remembrance Day.

Percy died of cancer in the 1930s. Chris hopes the Legion can use his poppy to raise funds An RBL spokesman said: "This is an incredible find. We believe it is the only existing poppy from the fields of Flanders."
