Republican Doofus Gets Taken for a Ride

Zonbiesays...

This is just....embarrassing, I think he's a IRL life - "Plant A Flag And Take Their Money" and to people protesting war "Get A Job"

This is why thick people should not be allowed to vote.
Kill civilians, steal and plunder and then give a finger to the international community. Way. To. Go.

Glad someone gave him his come-uppnance

This is not Republican, this is NeoCon talk....

Irishmansays...

Yeah let's all have a good laugh at the silly republicans who have been smart enough to dupe an entire nation for 8 years, and bomb and massacre Iraq back to the stone age for oil and money.

I do not like The Young Turk. This video can put him up as sort of an opposite to fox news on a political spectrum, yet equals in methods. Sure the guy is an idiot in the interview, but why does TYT have to set up the interview about what happens after the interview, attacking the person.

thinker247says...

Because sometimes smart people have stupid ideas, so you attack their ideas, but you refrain from attacking the person.

But this guy is a moron with moronic ideas, so you attack both the ideas and the person who espouses them. Why? Because he was asking for it.

Im pretty sure that it would still be just as funny if a democrat was espousing taxing the rich, and the very next day his tax-bracket got bumped to 30% resulting in similar financial pain.

Irony is irony, no way around it.
Shit is funny when it comes back to bite people in the ass like that.

If you think you can stop stupidity, come on over and take a shot at it.

iauisays...

Y'know, it's clear this guy is an ignorant fool, but it's just sad that there are those who would seek to take pleasure in the misfortune of others. This man is a sad person. He's misguided and dangerously so, but that doesn't mean we should wish hell and damnation upon him. I've done stupid things in my life. I think we all have. Perhaps this guy's stupid thing was caught on tape. (Though it really seems like he's just doing this tongue-in-cheek to egg on the interviewer, but that's beside the point.)

No matter what this person has done, he does not deserve to get abused by having $150,000 taken from him. Yes, his ideas deserve to get ridiculed. Yes, he's being a total douchbag.

But yes, he's _human_. Just like you and I. He is ignorant, but trying to say he somehow deserves to be attacked because he has chosen to be stupid is very selfish and, as a whole, just as ignorant. We're in this problem, this fucking mess over in the middle east, because the Republicans appealed to our vindictive side to coerce us to let them start a war. The correct answer is always compassion. The correct answer is _never war_. That is precisely the opposite message being sent by The Young Turks in this clip.

It's sad to see this side stooping to the lows of the other... It will only be when we can all exist without this hate that we will finally know peace. Hopefully we'll find it before we destroy ourselves.

Unless you believe in karma, in which case this douchebag getting robbed was probably only the tip of an iceberg the size of Texas.

AnimalsForCrackerssays...

I don't see anything wrong with ridiculing and laughing about the irony of the situation after the fact. No one is wishing damnation upon him and he certainly didn't receive anything close to it. An ignorant git with lots of money is now suddenly down 150k due to his own stupidity, what a tragedy!

The only thing this guy needs to fear is himself.

quantumushroomsays...

You know, Obama would just rob him more.

The Young Turd makes the Olbyloon palatable, not an easy feat!

Why are the wealthy punished for being wealthy with high tax rates? The answer is threefold:

1) "The rich" are the last minority politicians can openly hate and use to get votes.

2) Liberals believe that life is one big lottery, and that all rich people inherited their money, stole it or just got lucky somehow. This assuages those that don't work as hard or don't understand how the economy works, and it lets them and the politicians off the hook for their moral bankruptcy.

3) You can't tax the shit out of the poor: they don't have anything.

Politics is the art of extracting money from the rich and votes from the poor by promising to protect each from the other.

The Obamessiah was ill-suited to be president before this clown got robbed and remains the same now.

iauisays...

?!? Wow. QuantumMushroom... seriously if you think the rich fear being taxed more you're obviously not rich. It's funny to read someone's opinion and even though they've typed quite a bit of text and tried to back it up, to immediately define that post as a troll... Well done. You've succeeded.

RE: Animal... That's not true. Though his ignorance is a part of it, the biggest reason is that some selfish human thinks she can get ahead in the world by stealing from other people. What you're saying is that it's okay for some destructive person to have stolen $150,000 from him because he's a douchebag. That is incorrect. She was rewarded for hurting someone, and should have been punished.

I agree, he 'got what was coming to him', but it's strange to celebrate crime, don't you think? Crime is the opposite of peace.

Throbbinsays...

QuantumMushroom - It's always fun to read your rantings, particularly because you find it necessary to make up names for people you don't like - as if you were in 5th grade.

Olbyloon?

Obamessiah?

Do you not realize how juvenile this is?

Now taking bets on the likelihood Quantumanus has ever kissed a girl, or otherwise had physical (not solicited) sexual contact in his life.

*ahem*

He is supporting a repeat of an action that saw 1,000,000 Iraqi's dead, is driving your country to the brink of bankruptcy (and shows no sign of slowing down) and, quite frankly, America today reminds me of Japanese or German imperialism during the Second World War.

He is advocating war against a country which has no possible way to strike at the US or it's allies in any meaningful capacity. It verges on the criminal and he should be thankful all she did was rob him.

As for QM, lol, you need to get better at trolling cos you really suck at it... =)

rottenseedsays...

I think she just carried out an act to balance the cosmic scale...

actually that's stupid. Whoever believes in karma is ridiculous, but it is this sweet chaos that makes us laugh at an unfortunate man because he is an ass hat.

What'll really twist your mind is questioning if he's an ass hat because he's been fucked over so often in his life.

I think I've misworded what I was trying to get across, because I largely agree with you. I don't think stealing is right. He was victimized, ironically to be sure, by the very thing he is for yet to what extent some of the blame fell on him for getting into such a situation is still hard to tell. It's not all his fault. He has hopefully learned what it's like to be a victim for a change, as he was pretty much advocating wholesale victimization himself. The person who stole from him, for whatever reasons, is obviously responsible for the theft and no more right then he is. Which of course doesn't mean that there can't be a "moral to the story" or things learned.

Laughing about it after the fact doesn't mean I approve, just that there are far worse things and that irony is delicious.

Guy's definitely got his head up his ass.

But I don't wish it on anyone that they get drugged and robbed, all while thinking they're gonna get some ass, just because they have some ignorant ass opinions.

Januarisays...

I find it VERY hard to feel bad for him... I don't think i can bring myself to wish it on anyone... If it had to happen... Ohhh i'll just leave it at that...

The host on the other hand... is abnoxious to the extreme... And before he goes on to much about this was some sort of cosmic justice (if he really believes that) he might give some thought to just how much he seems to be enjoying this fools loss.
