There's a bike WHERE????

Berkeley Breathed book Red Ranger Came Calling was apparently inspired by this bit of history. I just heard about this four hours ago. It's about two hours from my house. Road trip, here I come! (In 1954, a newly widowed woman was given all sorts of help from her neighbors, including this gift of a used bike. But it was a girls bike, and she had a son. The kid hid it in the woods and claimed to have lost it, rather than ride it around and get ribbed about it.)
