When you cook with garlic, if you don't like the smell, wash your hands with soap and cold water when you're done. The smell won't stick if your pores aren't open.

Looks like the first trick didn't work for them, there was still cork in the bottle. And I'm constantly amazed that anyone doesn't know the floating egg thing. This is the second time I have seen it shown as a handy tip of late. Didn't everyone get taught this when they were kids?

Overboiling only happens to me when the lid is still on. If I could have the lid on and a wooden spoon across the top at the same time, that hack might be useful.

Wish I had heard #1 last week! I forgot the corkscrew on a picnic. Never occurred to me that I could have opened our pinot with the power drill, screws, and hammer I packed next to the sandwiches.
