I cried in terror when I saw the planes hit the twin towers on CNN back in 2001, today I cry with joy. As a world citizen I congratulate the US. Welcome back.

Wow, finally you have something to be proud of again. Go Obama! As a Brit, usually we would not give two shits as to what's happening in your politics, but this time it has been different, not just for me but for so many of us. We recognise the importance of this moment, the absolute need for your country to be getting it right, not just for yourself but for the rest of us too. And finally it actually feels like that time has come. Be happy guys and be smug, you deserve it

I was just thinking about how JFK was the last president to get this kind of response when he gave his nods to VP Biden. If that doesn't send a shiver down your back nothing will, here's hoping Obama lives a good long life.

And what exactly did JFK do for this country? (besides Marilyn Monroe, backing down from Russia, and running corrupt campaigns)

Great speech... except for the very end. "God bless the USA"... so he/she/it takes exclusive preference over nation-states now?

Well, may his magic sparky fingers give us +1 to hit/dam/AC. We sure could use it. While at it, he should toss a Protection from Evil, Aid, and Stoneskin our way. At the very least, to our solders in harms way.

Oh.. and a Column of Fire, Meteor Storm, or two at opportune moments would be nice.

The USA has finally awoken from the Sleep spell it was under. +1 INT bonus to you.

Great speech. I'm so happy to witness the first black president in my lifetime, even if I don't agree with his politics. I love how when he mentioned McCain's name the crowd applauded graciously, but when McCain mentioned Obama to his supporters at his concession speech, the crowd booed and moaned like a bunch of eight year olds.

I rang the bell in our mess after we watched this last night. I never would've thought that a political outcome would make me as happy as it did.

Bill O'Reilly: Y'ever hear of a little thing called The Cuban Missile Crisis? Yeah, the reason you've heard of it as history on TV and not as a story told by the shaman while you're living in a cave surrounded by softly-glowing ruins is because JFK kept the crisis from becoming a nuclear war.

"This victory alone is not the change we seek-- it is only the chance for us to make that change ..."

on a different note ... about that "May God bless America" part ... would anybody not like to see what would happen if Richard Dawkins and Obama were to have a discussion about religion?

Oh, so JFK took those missles out of Turkey out of the goodness of his heart, and not the pressure from Russia. Now I understand. Thanks for the history lesson, son.

Control countries of people...Give me a propaganda slogan!..."you're either with us our you're with the terrorists"...No I need new one that doesn't require any thinking..."Change!"...There we go. Change towards what? Torturing a bit less while proceeding with the same objective. Accomplished. Obama for the win!!
