"Fish farming has become a booming industry around the world. But its success at generating thousands of jobs in developing countries has also led to the eradication of other trades - and become one of the most worrying industries for environmentalists.
Salmon farming in particular has taken off in a massive way. Activists and fishermen say the effects on native species are devastating. Often a bacteria or an antibiotic are released by farmers, which damage the salmon, leaving them contaminated and with no commercial value.
There are human costs too. Salmon farming companies have been accused of hiring cheap labour and having limited regulation, leaving workers much more at risk of stress injuries or death.
