Penn & Teller - 9/11 Conspiracy Theory (Bullshit)

westysays...

I have yet to see a program investigate the concspiricies that interviews one of the respected people who dont have an agenda other than wanting to know more about the resoins behind why the bouldings clapsed.

nerly all the conspiricies are compleat idocy and all these programs just look at the retarded things and validly say how stupid thay are. its unfortunate how this has led to a imideat dismissel of events that were evident and should be looked at.

boulding 7 maby how it colapsed right down with the walles cloapsed inwards which only happens when demolished. maby this was a one off but if it was so obvouse then surly it would have been descoverd by now and not still been worked on by the oficeal report. allso i wish the fbi would relase some of the footage thay have a of a plane flying into the pentagon as thay took vidoe from all the hotels ore places that have securty camras that would have footage of the plane on rute and hitting it.

allso more important than anny resoins behind what happend is the fact that usa,s foregen polcy is compleat BS and retardatoin and bringing the world down i recon thay just know that the usa econimy is fucked along with englands so the only way the countries can stay ontop is by invading everyone ore finding more resourcess and selling wepons to found it all.

Westy, I'm finding it hard extremely hard to read anything you've written due to the countless spelling and grammar errors... I count five mistakes in the first sentence alone (seven in the second para, 16 in the third para, and 12 in the final para. That's a total of 40 mistakes, which is pretty impressive).

As the Brits say, are you taking the piss?

westysays...

I dont think i am that bright but at the same time you shouldent assurt that everyone with bad spelling has a low IQ. i use fire fox alredy im just lazy when it comes to comments. im not writing a thesis and I dont think people pay that mutch atentoin to coments annyway aditoinaly it seems the case that most people dont logicly ore ratoinaly respond to most comments. its just a form of therapy for me.

rossprudensays...

Westy, I can't focus on what you're saying because I'm spending more time deciphering your mistakes: the medium should deliver the message, not impede it. If you're being lazy, that's one choice, I guess... but I'm always willing to engage in a heathly discussion through comments. But how seriously do you think you appear if you're too lazy to write properly?

I've written in my blog about this extensively:

If you wish to be seen as lazy, don't be surprised if people also assume that you're stupid. In a text forum, you are what you write. You're nothing to me but words on a screen, and poor writing usually expresses mediocre thought.

I try to express myself carefully, and constantly re-write and edit as I type, because I wish to present myself as an intelligent and thoughtful person; that my opinions should be well-regarded by my peers.

rickegeesays...

Oh . . .please don't take westy's spelling and grammar away from the Sift. His commentary is one of my favorite things.

Westy's comments are a form of expression as unique and beautiful as Tom Waits' voice.

Goofball_Jonessays...

The fact of the matter is, if this WAS a conspiracy, it would have taken the combined effort of thousands of people to pull it off. The people that "planted the explosives" on all the floors...all without being seen. The planes, the people on the planes. The people that "shot the missile at the Pentagon". Thousands of people that were in the loop, that would have to be involved. And lets face it folks, the more people that are in on a conspiracy, then the chance that there would be hard HARD evidence and witnesses that would come out with evidence showing how it was done. All it takes is one whistle blower out there that was "in on it all" to bring it all down.

So what's more likely? 1. A government conspiracy consisting of many different departments and agencies building up a plan to pull something like this off without a shred of hard evidence linking it back to them....or 2. 20 yahoos with box-cutters high-jacking planes and flying them into buildings?

Let's apply some critical thinking here and stop with this bullshit.

k8_fansays...

Read "The Heart of a Soldier", a biography of Rick Rescorla, the security chief for Dean Witter. Recorla managed to get thousands of people safely out of the buildings, then died when he went back in to look for stragglers. The first WTC bombing happened shortly after he was hired, and it became his mission to prevent anything like that from happening again. He predicted that the next attack would be from the air, and there was nothing he could do to prevent it, so he concentrated on saving lives. The man was an authentic hero, and there is not a chance in HELL anyone could have wired the buildings with explosives on his watch.

Farhad2000says...

Rick Rescorla will always remain a hero and a decorated man but he was the security chief for Morgan Stanley at WTC, and how you can expect him to have had detail of what happened in WTC I don't really understand. Please don't sully his name by mentioning it here.

k8_fansays...

Sorry I got the name of the firm wrong, but the fact remains that he was the security chief of a company that occupied floors 43-46, 56, 59-74 of the South Tower. He considered the security of the buildings his principal responsibility. The very idea that the building could have been wired with explosives without Rescorla and his staff noticing is a twisted joke.

I sead i am lazy becuse i am lazy thats just me i dont write with the express wish to be seen in annyway im nutral if people want to think im lazy from my writing thats fine but im not expressly writing to come across as lazy .k8_ your comments seem to emply that i am atempting something with a outcome in mind when i post. when i post its a post people might reed it people might not hwoever u want to look at it i just typ stuff because i can. i dont have a missoin. outside of me typing for typings sake. im the resedent dyslexsic who dosent use spell check. instead of tring to corect sumone ore things if you look at them for what thay are an lern from that sometimes thats a better aproach to stuff. if a thing dosent recognise what it is doing ore taking its actioins by acident and thay are negative then i belive it might be apropreat to interveen but when it is something like in my case just relax and put up with it. if i spent more time on hear corecting things it would detract from stuff i want to invest time in.

rossprudensays...

Great god. Why is it sooooohoooohooooo hard to use a spell check??!?!?!?!?!? Takes, like, 60 seconds flat, and makes a world of difference.

As k8 says, in a world where we all know each other by our words, you're walking around with knee-high white socks, pants up to your chest, a way too tight shirt and 3 foot wide sombrero. And you're seriously asking us why we're paying more attention to your attire than what to what you're saying???

LadyBugsays...

*off topic* it's not really THAT hard to decipher Le Code de Westy. i love when i stumble on a vid that has one of his comments! it's like a little game to me! a cryptogram, if you will! i always try to read his posts 'correctly' as quick as i can! a little brain exercise for your pre-frontal cortex!!

i could be wrong, but i'm also guessing that even though westy is in the uk ... that maybe english is not his first language (at least that's what i like to tell myself!! LOL) ...

k8_fansays...

I doubt that it is his second language. Maybe it's just me, but most of the people I've known who have learned English as a second language tend to write *more* carefully than native English speakers. Writing as bad as this usually indicates the writer is a fairly recent graduate of an American high school. I think, from a cursory glance at his last message (all it deserves), that he claimed to be dyslexic. So? I know dyslexics who have struggled against their disability, and spell-checking has been a God-send for them. There is no person so dyslexic that they can't see the red underlining of a spell-checker.

I'm edging closer to thinking that Westy just has a contemptuous attitude towards communicating with the rest of us, that we're not worth the bother.

Deanosays...

re Westy's spelling:

Westy I tend to skip your comments since they are not really readable in terms of spelling or formatting.

If a lot of people are doing this then the effort of contributing a comment is being wasted. Particularly so if your comment contains something that others might find interesting.
