What I want to know is, how does one get signed up for those studies?

I hate this... really.

* Peta submits it KNOWING it's going to be banned, so then they can virally spread it around as a 'banned' ad and not pay for it actually being shown during the superbowl.

* The claim that there are some studies, somewhere that are supposed to show that vegetarians have better sex? Come on. Get stuffed, a load of absolute bullshit.

* Peta are still more than happy to abuse, attack and aren't against killing other people for their over the top following of their creed for preventing cruelty to animals

* They are against animal testing, and yet at least one of their high ranked members is on medication to keep her alive that would not have been possible if not for animal testing.

Do they really think THIS is going to make anyone become vegetarian? It may make people horny and want to have sex, but stop eating meat? I don't think so.

I'm not going to downvote, as that's pretty petty. But man... they really rile me up, they put animals above people. I'm ALL FOR treating animals well, but Peta really take it to ridiculous extremes.

Why exactly do studies show this? Studies show that there is more protein in most meats, then most vegetables and fruits, so why exactly are vegetarians better at any physical activity?

PETA "People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals", nothing about torture in their name, granted, it's a big part of their belief system, and what they mostly fight against, but they aren't actually against using animals as food, just how the animals are treated before and during slaughter. They also fight against the training of animals, like at SeaWorld, and you can't possibly make me believe SeaWorld is torturing their animals. Not treating ethically maybe, but certainly not torture.

Any job that involves dealing with kids all day is torture.

True, they rally against things other than torture (and sometimes I disagree with them), but my point was mainly about the objectification of women. I don't see how the analogy fits.

I'm a vegetarian coffee addict but I also eat lots of fresh tomatos and olives. How does that turn out?

Most of what PETA do is small peaceful protests and exposing cruelty in the meat industry. They do publicity stunts to raise awareness of what they believe in, but so does every other company. I don't know why people have such an aversion to PETA, but maybe I haven't lived in this country long enough to see the other side of this organization. Anyone have actual news stories to show the other side of PETA (as opposed to just saying- they're a cult)?

Does PETA realize that without eating meat our ancient ancestors never would have developed the brain we have today? As well that if as a species if we stopped eating meat we would become less intelligent with each generation?

We are omnivores after all. Not eating meat is simply wrong. I can see being against the slaughter houses and all that stuff, but we eat meat for a reason. If anything hunt your own meat if your against the meat industry. It's an important part of our biochemistry.

And I just want to throw in that "banned" is a crap tag and label for something like this. The FCC didn't step in and stop it, a TV network exercised their right to not broadcast something. That is what they do.

I'm an animal lover, hell I've gone vegetarian a few times in my life (I just can't get over my love of the taste of meat). But DAMN do I hate PETA.
