Venus and Serena overpowered opponents with their strong baseline play, forcing other ladies to up their game.

But Serena also has a reputation as a hothead.

On Sunday, she hurled insults at the umpire when a call didn't go her way.

She was fined just $2,000. A slap for the wrist for Serena, who won $1.4 million at the tournament as runner-up.

Some are outraged by Serena's behavior.

But isn't she just continuing one of tennis' other traditions?"
