NMA: Facebook facial recognition software is tagging you.

"Facebook has confirmed the near-global roll out of a new feature which recognizes faces in photos, making it easier to tag friends.

Though users can disable these tag "suggestions," there's no guarantee that Facebook won't continue to collect their facial data.

Facebook announced the technology in December, but didn't notify users when it became active on their accounts.

The European Union is planning a probe into possible privacy violations...Ironic, considering the high level of public surveillance in Europe.

If people are so concerned about privacy, why don't they just quit Facebook?"
