Musical GENIUS improvises a fugue based on the Muppet Theme!

Seriously, how can he possibly do this? From the other videos in this series, it seems like he was taking the themes to be played from the audience and improvising on the spot. It was said of Bach that he was able to do this, and for that skill he has been called one of the greatest musical geniuses of all time. This video was recorded in 1994. How has this gentleman not been accoladed with similar praise?
