Minivan crashes into ABC Studio during live broadcast

From Y/T "(ABC)A Chicago driver faces two citations after a minivan crashed into ABC7's State Street studio Sunday night.

About two minutes into ABC7's 10 p.m. newscast Sunday night when a minivan slammed into the southeast corner of the building at 190 North State. A crowd was gathered outside the studio watching the live broadcast.

"I saw a minivan do about four or five U-turns and then he pulled off to the side of the road and we didn't think much of it but then we were watching the news and we heard a big crash and he was in the window," said Tyler Cloutier, witness.

Police arrived on the scene a few minutes later and arrested the driver who has been identified as Gerald Richardson.

A security camera caught the van as it slammed into the glass.

No one was hurt inside or outside the studio.

Crews worked to remove the minivan and board up the studio's window overnight.

The driver has been charged with reckless driving and not having any vehicle insurance.- FROM ABC 7 WLS NEWS"
