It's the impression that he's not giving his child his undevoted attention. I think it of myself sometimes when I'm doing something on my phone when I should be spending uninterrupted time with my kids. It's a kind of fair criticism (in general), as you do see parents 'spending time' with their kids where they're just really ignoring them while browsing the web or facebook. But it's harsh to judge someone on that based on a few second glimpse of them using their phone while with their kid

Some people can't have kids. Some people don't want kids; for instance, me. Doesn't make either group less of an adult. Doesn't even mean we don't like kids.

Yeah, but... it's a Father's Day message.

No kids. No marriage. No relationship. Father died last year. Father's Day is just another Sunday where the lines at Home Depot are too long.
