Limb Lengthening with Ilizarov Technique - Cosmetic (& Not)

I worked with this surgeon when these devices were being automated for a short time with robotics. The video says Dr. Paley "basically created the procedure" (cough! News BullS#@t!) it was actually created by the Russian doctor Ilizarov. The video says it's cutting edge, but this procedure is about 55 years old. Taking $70,000 to make some short dude feel more confident may be cutting edge though.

This technique lets you grow an inch every ~25 days. You then have to stay in the frame for about an equal amount of time afterwards.

An interesting side effect of this technique. If you lengthen your bones in your arms and legs, it can produce growth hormones which can stretch the body out as well, i.e. dwarves not only get taller they look less dwarfish.
