It's most likely Alang, a shipbreaking town in India. Old ships are driven ashore during high tide, then systematically dismantled for scrap. The two partially dismantled hulks beside it provide further evidence that this was an intentional beaching.

Agreed, as it was skidding very closely past the ship on our left, i was doing the ace ventura "like a glove" routine. This was a big win.
