Jeru Da Damaja - Ya Playin' Yaself

The Hip Hop classic track and (kung-fu) video from Jeru's Wrath Of Math album, where he tells all the hype filled hip hop (pop) 'artists' you're playing yourself: 'With all that Big Willie talk' / 'big gun talk' / 'those skin tight jeans' / 'those hooker type wears' & 'all that rah rah rah'. Some background to Jeru & the track from Wikipedia:

Jeru the Damaja (pronounced as "Damager", born Kendrick Jeru Davis) is an MC from Brooklyn, New York. He has worked extensively with Guru and DJ Premier of Gang Starr, whom he has known since high school.

Jeru the Damaja had an under the radar beef (feud) with fellow Brooklynite rapper, The Notorious B.I.G.. It may have started with Jeru's song "One Day" from his second album where he claimed that Bad Boy Records was kidnapping hip hop music. Although, Notorious B.I.G. was not mentioned by name like his business partner and friend Puff Daddy, he took offense and responded with "Kick in the Door" from his 1997 album, Life After Death. The track had various disses towards Nas, but it was mainly directed at Jeru the Damaja, and even dissed the track's producer, DJ Premier, for being a partner of Jeru. Jeru the Damaja had previously attacked the song, "Player's Anthem," by Junior M.A.F.I.A. featuring Biggie by responding with "Ya Playin' Yaself."
