Dead Ferret Sleep:

All ferrets are capable of DFS. What is DFS? It is when a ferret sleeps so soundly they can be almost impossible to wake up. Many ferret owners have to their horror found a limp, lifeless, seemingly not breathing, rag doll of a ferret that appears to be dead. They can be taken out of the cage, handled and still do not wake! Calm down and wait... they will wake up and look at you like you are crazy for being so upset.
