I ran into Cáit O'Riordan of the Pogues in Brooklyn, NY yesterday. It was a beautiful and blustery New York afternoon for singing some songs and sidewalking. This is an old traditional song dating back to the 1880's, but my favourite version is from The Pogues second album Rum Sodomy & the Lash. I ❤️ Cáit O'Riordan and I ❤️ y'all.
