I did this with methane bubbles in chem class. The pure hydrogen seems to burn much faster than methane, but I can't be certain without some indication of size.

Acetylene gas makes a much louder bang for your buck in a test like this. ; )

From an unlit oxy/acetylene rig, fill a ballon with a mixture of the gases, tie a string to it and set the string on fire (obviously, the more inventive among you can come up with better ignition devices, this is just the most simple).

If you live in a populated area, prepare for the bomb squad to show up. =)

Oh yeah, you might want earplugs. X D

I was working with a friend on a HHO generator for his Accord.
One day we were testing to see if higher loads on the alternator would affect output. leaving the bubbles to accumulate for a couple minutes, carlos told me to light them, with us all standing within 3 feet. boom. i stood up and started hitting my self on the head to see if i could still hear. i can still hear, but my ears rang for 2 weeks.
be careful with this stuff.
(it's on video, just too embarrassing to post.)
