Miku Hatsune is the name and character for the first voice pack for yamahas software voice synthesis package released in the beginning of 2007. Possibly one of the biggest pop stars you have never heard of, but she and her sisters (voice packages released after miku) have garnered a huge following across the globe. With song writers releasing singles and albums through iTunes and fans creating animations and artwork to add to their favorite songwriters music tracks creating a large collaborative community, Miku is well on her way to being yet another first for the internet.
