San Francisco has strict building codes about altering the historic looks of buildings. This is how one architecture firm managed to install a garage door.

Whoa, nice sift.

I live in a historic building in California that's protected by local codes. This seems about right. It may seem cool, but what a pain in the ass.

The no parking sign totally disguises this

It's honestly not as creative as I was hoping for. I mean, it certainly beats not getting to have a garage, but the way the door swings in means there's a lot of space you can't use. You have to leave it available for your wall to swivel.
