How To Repel Sea Lampreys

LL: A tubful of sea lampreys going berserk after being doused with a “semiochemical mixture produced by the putrefying carcasses of sea lampreys” being tested by Michigan State researchers as a potential sea lamprey repellant. The sea lamprey is native to the Atlantic Ocean, and because the Great Lakes are connected to the Atlantic, they have become anonnative species in the Great Lakes. Since the sea lamprey came to the GreatLakes, some native fish species are in danger of dying out, such as the laketrout.
