"One of Hollywood's most celebrated taglines, from the Ridley Scott classic "Alien," tells us: "In space, no one can hear you scream."

But anyone who's ever seen a proper sci-fi thriller will tell you that's not true at all.

Just watch "Event Horizon." Or "Sunshine." Or the brand new space haunter "Apollo 18." Even "Alien" itself.

So to all you future space travelers, use the footage above as a cautionary tale. Intergalactic exploration is f**king scary. And chances are there will be screaming. Lots and lots of screaming.
