Hawaii's Civil Missile Alert System Activated

Shortly after 8a.m. this morning, the Hawaiian missile alert system was activated, alerting residents to an imminent threat of missile attack, warning them to find shelter, and assuring them that this is not a drill.
While authorities quickly realized this was a mistake, likely human error, they didn't issue a follow-up notice for approximately 45 minutes.
