HDR demo video shot on RED camera

This is a demo of new tech RED say they have in the works, claiming a dynamic range of 18 to 19 stops. As far as I can find out, the high dynamic range is achieved by combining two exposures; one long, one short. Looks pretty good, although the motion blur seems altered by the process, giving the appearance of only spreading out on the trailing side of edges, which supports the idea of a two-exposure process. Anyway, I hope it works well, since a lot of people shoot on RED and the limited dynamic range it offers gives me headaches.
