Guardian: The madness of Bradley Manning?

Bradley Manning, the man held over the leaking of confidential cables to WikiLeaks, was a 'mess of a child' who should never have been put through a tour of duty in Iraq, according to an investigative film produced by the Guardian

Whoa. Intense.

I didn't know that the "famous hacker" actually turned Manning in. Says to me that the hacking subculture isn't monolithic -- which is just human nature.

http://videosift.com/video/Conformity-scientific-and-sociological-insight Really worth a look.

I also find it ... fitting, that Bush's disastrous invasion of Iraq led to spreading our forces too thin, led to a drop in recruitment, led to keeping an unstable Manning, which led to this huge security breach.

It all comes back to that, doesn't it? Bush was a disaster of a president.

Classic Psyops. They put the information there to bait Manning into releasing it. Lamo is an FBI informant. Wikileaks is a CIA/Mossad mouthpiece. Assange is MK Ultra.

Good morning, The Worm, Your Honour,
The Crown will plainly show,
The prisoner who now stands before you,
Was caught red-handed showing feelings.
Showing feelings of an almost human nature.
This will not do.
Call the schoolmaster!
I always said he'd come to no good,
In the end, Your Honour.
If they'd let me have my way,
I could have flayed him into shape.
But my hands were tied. The bleeding hearts and artists,
Let him get away with murder.
Let me hammer him today.
Crazy.
Toys in the attic, I am crazy.
Truly gone fishing.
They must have taken my marbles away.
Crazy.Toys in the attic, he is crazy.
You little shit, you're in it now.
I hope they throw away the key.
You should've talked to me more often than you did.
But no! You had to go your own way.
Have you broken any homes up lately?
Just five minutes, Worm, Your Honour,
Him and me alone.Baaaaaabe!
Come to Mother, baby.
Let me hold you in my arms.
M'Lord, I never meant for him to get in any trouble.
Why'd he ever have to leave me?
Worm, Your Honour, let me take him home.
Crazy.
Over the rainbow, I am crazy.
Bars in the window.
There must have been a door there in the wall.
For when I came in.
Crazy.
Over the rainbow, he is crazy.
The evidence before the court is incontrovertible.
There's no need for the jury to retire.
In all my years of judging I have never heard before,
Of someone more deserving of the full penalty of the law.
The way you made them suffer,
Your exquisite wife and mother,
Fills me with the urge to defecate!
No, Judge, the jury!
Since, my friend, you have revealed your deepest fear,
I sentence you to be exposed before your peers.
Tear down the wall!

I can't help but feel that a string of half-truths are being strung together to villainize Manning in a continuing effort to influence popular opinion.

The general opinion outside the USA is that the US Military machine will stop at nothing to move forward and without ethical boundaries. The general view of the US leaders is that they only have to sway the US population's opinion to keep control and their support. To convince the US population that he was a raving lunatic on the edge of cracking is a spin in the government's favour.

Stories like these will also go far to convince and scare the population at large and insiders that leaking or sharing US secrets will only destroy you and will never justify rewards in the end.

I'm definitely on the guy's side and appreciate his leak - but he should have known that nothing can stop our military's corrupt power, they will stop at nothing in order to "try" to control our minds in order to control the world's resources in our favor (and in "our favor" I mean the upper-class (and they don't need help - the lower and middle classes need serious help because the "trickle-down system" is total bullshit)). His leaks will do nothing in order to correct or make the military humanly ethical. And that goes for our citizens as well. Yo livin' in a police state... well, unless you live in or hang out in a fancy neighborhood.
