Apparently, there's a project to make an animated version of the legendary underground comic "The fabulous furry freak brothers", starring a trio of drug-oriented hippie drop-outs. This is the teaser trailer for it. Seems like it's been a long time in the making, but maybe they'll manage to get it done one day.
