I believe that in many football situations, referees aren't allowed to use camera footage to replay and see what happened, they just have to make an on-the-spot decision (e.g. the infamous Maradonna "Hand of God").

Does anyone know what the decision was here? The referee might not have seen what happened. Clearly that guy deserved a red card for incredibly bad sportsmanship, as well as punching a player in the face, even if it was himself

yes, that's completely retarded, and one of the main reasons I gave up with soccer.
