Part one introduced the teams and the challenge, which was for 8 teams of Dyson engineers to use spare parts found in the workshop to make remote control cars for a race through an obstacle course... and may the best car win.
YouTube Description:
Crashes, bashes and a gearbox failure were some of the highlights from race day. One of the early favourites suffered a motor failure just shy of the finish line. Needless to say, the race was a close one.
It was team Drives, who took gold. Borrowing engineering know-how from Dyson machines they built in smart steering-- outmanoeuvring the competition. And like all Dyson technology, they put the machine through rigorous testing, pushing it to breaking point, and striving for better performance.
