OMG, we have a duck toy just like that for issy (the cat), and it's her favorite. She loves to fetch it and drop it at our feet. As the battery began to die, it started making horrifying noises, which would sometimes sound many minutes after pushing the button. Then one day, as expected, ducky quacked no more. Very sad, but issy still loves to play with the mute plushy duck.

^I, too, have that toy duck for my cat. He's indifferent to it. What an unappreciative prick.
