A classic experiment in cinematic expressionism-Follow a psychotic evening of this young gamin through a night of frenzy and hallucination through the seedy underbelly of skid row...

The soundtrack to this sleazyy film is truly inspired (quite possibly by heroin and pungent cheese). The scene with the jazz musicians features Shorty Rogers (as Shorty Rogers and His Giants). Highlights include some great night club and poorly-lit alleys, scenes of unbridled debaucheries, and a recurring detached hand.
