Darren Aronofskys Noah - a discussion

Hands up, who saw that Aronofsky was making the story of the ark and immediately wrote it off?

I have to admit that I did. All the trailers made it look like "Passion of the Christ, old testament edition". And I really don't want to go to the cinema to be preached at.

But I gotta admit, I'm kinda intrigued now. Aronofsky still deserves special recognition in my mind for Pi and Requiem if nothing else. (Black Swan was ok, The Fountain was ambitious but flawed and I'm ashamed to admit I still haven't seen The Wrestler).
