From Wikipedia: "Bass Down Low" was written by Dev along with The Cataracs, who produced the song. It was originally a track by The Cataracs featuring Dev, but Dev was made the main artist because they believed it presented her. She spoke of the song in an interview with Artistdirect, saying, "Well, it's kinda sassy, it's fun. It would just be a good follow-up to 'G6.' We thought it fit really well. You know, throw out some little radio bangers."
