From DKTV: During the campaign, Barack Obama promised earmark reform, but criticized John McCain for his single-minded focus on eliminating all earmarks. Obama said that while he wanted to review federal line items for waste, some earmarks were for good programs and should remain in place. Despite Obama’s clear position against an outright ban on all earmarks, conservative media are now claiming that Obama promised to eliminate them entirely.
