Catholic High School Girls in Trouble

did i mention nsfw?
Kruposays...

Okay, I totally get the humour, but I'm *blogging this immediately because of the question: how does this NOT contravene existing VS policies?

djsunkidsays...

I second the not porn vote, and I haven't seen the whole movie.

But then again, I am not offended by porn in principle, so i might not be the best person to make that kind of call.

I'll ask my friend Kendra if she thinks its porn. She and I have argued about porn in the past, and she's pretty anti-porn.

djsunkidsays...

OK, Wikipedia defines porn as having the intent of creating sexual arousal. this clearly has the intent of making you laugh at porn... Also, my friend Maggie points out that: "all you see is topless women, and in Ontario a woman can walk around like that"

So yeah, my vote is definitely squarely on Not porn.

rensays...

If someone finds this vulgar then speak up.. frankly if you are offended by videos like this i'm surprised you still use the Internets. It's funny for several reasons and would be a blight on the sift if we couldn't keep material like this, it's clearly not a true porn vid

Durdaanasays...

Really I think the issue isn't "does this fit exactly such and such a definition of porn," but rather "what is the purpose of the rule to ban pornography, and does the video in question go against that?" I am assuming that purpose of the rule is to prevent material that is offensive beyond what is appropriate for this audience from appearing in this community. Does this video fit that description?

In my opinion, no, it does not. It may not be in the best taste, but it is not, by my standards, overly offensive.

"what is the purpose of the rule to ban pornography, and does the video in question go against that?"

we don't want to be a spank site, and by that i mean this is a place to enjoy video, not discuss your favorite pornography. There are plenty of places to do that already.

leeweeksays...

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
now that i got THAT out of my system...... ah fuck it...
BOOOOBBIES!!!!
ah.... yes, adult humor from ... before i was born.... scary.

djsunkidsays...

Yeah, the year it happened in Ontario was 1999, i went to some hippie outdoor rave festivals in Ontario and I figured it was a SURE thing. Honestly there weren't more boobies there than any average rave outdoor or hippie festival.

bamdrewsays...

"we don't want to be a spank site... There are plenty of places to do that already."

Any specific examples you might want to share with us, James? You-know, just so we're all on the same page...

Kruposays...

The most questionable scene, IMHO, was the shower scene, seeing as how it left nothing to the imagination. I am, though, completely bemused by how my province is being used as the "Boobie Loophole" for the Sift.

I totally do see the humour, though, and I suppose this video must serve as the (INCREDIBLY RAZOR-THIN) benchmark between "ha ha, it's not actually pr0n" and "pay $9.95 to see the rest".

Having said all that, *NSFW^100 sounds appropriate too.

Sageoussays...

I would get a paid accout if it meant my downvote had more strength (votes)...just for videos like this. Why? Because so far...videosift has not degraded whereas some aggregate sites have.

We can of course argue either side of the fence in regards to this being porn or not, but can anyone argue for it having value here? If there is no value then it is diluting the site...at best.

Quboidsays...

Damn right oohahh, humour at it's lowest and I love it. KFM is a great film, utterly pointless, literally plotless (it's basically a series of sketches) but incredibly funny. "Show me your nuts" is just one of it's many classics.

messengersays...

Just because it's funny doesn't mean it's not porn. This could easily have been the trailer of a real porn movie -- a really funny one. This is from the same guys who made Airplane and Naked Gun. Anything with boobs is gonna get way more votes than it should. I think that's bad for the sift. If it becomes epidemic with people uploading boobies because they get upvoted so fast (and you can only downvote so many videos), I suppose it'll get dealt with at that time, or advertising revenues will skyrocket, the owners will adjust the no-porn policy, and that'll be the end of the quality.

pho3n1xsays...

haha, yeah right. i linked the stripper/coke scene from 'Harold & Kumar' and it got 2 downvotes in all of 5 minutes. breasts do NOT cause upvotes, content does.

James Roesays...

We won't be changing the porn policy. Porn alienates people, if you can't find porn on the internet you are doing something wrong. I think a lot of people have just seen this movie. I for one saw it on a very old and beat up VHS tape. One of the last VHS movies I ever watched.

kilwrathsays...

"Kentucky Fried Movie" is a classic spoof film and was a formative experience for many a young man and woman who saw it when it first came out. This scene totally pokes fun at the sexploitation film trailers that were shown in grindhouse theatres during the 70's across the country. It's more than just a funny, bawdy clip with boobies, it's a satire of a fascinating part of 70's Americana. If you love low humor and haven't seen this flick, check it out and be prepared to laugh a LOT.

pho3n1xsays...

well, not that it matters, cause i've been trying to do something about this ongoing issue for quite a while now... but the no-porn rule is just about as fuzzy as the no self-linking rule.

if breasts are ok in context, then someone please revive the naked magician video. i discarded it due to violation of a grey-rule, and apparently it should be back. for that matter, the carcrash vid where breasts appear for all of 1/16 second, and then 2 seconds, should be revived also.

oxdottirsays...

Why is this acceptable? I see videos constantly that are relatively innocent with bars across the nipples, and people point that out and say it fulfills standards. Now, I don't mind breasts, but why be so uneven in the application of rules?
