A judge vaulted his bench and rugby tackled a defendant who began attacking a woman who had just finished testifying against him in a domestic violence case.

Judge Ian Richards, 33, showed no hesitation in jumping on top of John Charles Reasee who had chased Nicole Ward across the court room.
