YouTube Description:
As a high school lacrosse team was waiting to board a flight to a Summer tournament, one athlete took it upon himself to sneak into the pre-board group for "young passengers". He thought he had beaten the system, but his coaches saw the whole thing go down. One hastily written speech and a nice bit of cooperation from the crew of Southwest Airlines Flight 592 later, this video was born.

bareboards2Something tells me this kid learned doodly squat. Not his words, not his remorse.
jonnyoh I don't know... Yeah, his initial reaction is typical teenager, but just because the words weren't his doesn't mean it won't make him think. He had a 1.5 hour flight to get ribbed by his teammates and coaches and think about the whole thing. He's probably a marginally better person for it in the long run.

gargoyle says...An apology does go a long way. I make my kids apologize to each other, even if they don't really really mean it.

harlequinnYes, public humiliation is a great way to teach young men or women a lesson. After a few months of public ridicule by their local community and the greater community on the internet they'll thank you.
Have your say...
