Bus Driver's Life Saving Grab

(youtube) This incredible surveillance video catches bus driver Chris Leslie dashing off his bus to save a 3-year-old girl as she darts out into traffic directly in front of his bus. Her mother was busy dealing with a second child in a stroller and after saying "bye" the girl ignored Leslie's reminder to "wait for your mother" before hopping off and heading into traffic.

Eh, good for him for thinking of the good of the kid. Obviously not a close call since there seemed to be no cars coming, but upvote for the good-hearted citizenry!

great parenting caught on camera once again. AND judging by the size of that 3 year old, i would say the terrible parenting doesn't stop there.

You make a massive assumption. Anyone who has/had kids, knows that being vigilant 100% of the time is nigh on impossible. Yes, there are MANY examples of bad parenting but, as I said, this isn't necessarily one of them.

Maybe add the caveat to the channel that it can be beneficial FOR kids to watch?? Like bewbs and puppies?

Puppies = good for kids
Bewbs = good for kids
Kids = Kids channel

If you check out behind the driver before the girl leaves, there's an SUV, a couple cars and a large cube van rolling past at full legal speed (30mph or so) and a bunch of cars oncoming as well. I would classify it as a busy street. I would say he significantly reduced the child's chances of injury or death.

I also believe he will be sued right along with the bus company. "He shouldn't have let her get out first." I don't believe it's right, just inevitable.

*forkids might be better, as long as nobody tries to start a *fork channel down the line

As a parent, I will still call this a parenting fail. You just can't let this happen. And I never have. And if I did, I would feel terrible and expect people to call it a parenting fail.
