Bobby Darin - "If I Were A Carpenter"

Forget about his ridiculous silk shirt and the punch line of a lame joke he delivers at the beginning of this video. Bobby Darin was a great singer who mastered several musical genres, including big band, jazz, folk, rock and country. This is a live performance of his 1966 hit "If I Were A Carpenter", performed on a TV special just 9 months before his untimely death from chronic heart problems in 1973.

He was also a good actor, and he received much critical acclaim for his silver screen performances. The man is a legend, and rightfully so.

Bobby Darin is also famous for singing "Mack The Knife", "Beyond The Sea", and "Splish Splash I Was Taking A Bath". Learn more about this awesome multi-talented entertainer here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_Darin

Upvote this not just because it's a great song by a great performer, but also because it's performed a great talent that has rarely been equaled, either now or then.
