Better Place demonstrating their battery swap station in Yokohama, Japan, as part of a government test of electric vehicle viability and technology.

The battery swap itself seems to take a little over a minute from the moment you fully stop inside the station, to when you have a fresh battery and are ready to roll out.

This particular station uses solar panels on the roof to recharge it's standby batteries, making this a fully self-sustained zero-emissions automobile solution.
