Bela Tarr's latest--The Man From London (nine minute take)

Here is a fairly long clip from "The Man From London," Bela Tarr's latest film which, to my knowledge, has yet to be screened in the states. If you have seen any of his other movies, you wont be surprised to hear that this clip is comprised of one, single take--nearly 9 minutes long.

Can't say that this clip really indicates he is doing anything particularly new, but its classic Bela Tarr filmmaking anyway!

Quickly, as far as I know, the film is "about" a man who sees someone being killed. If this one is anything like the others, the character will probably go on to spend the remainder of the movie walking around in shadows, looking concerned and/or despondent, and going to bars. In this clip, an older man recalls to another a strange story concerning a mutual acquaintance.
