Roland Emmerich's upcoming movie proposes that the Earl of Oxford wrote most if not all of Shakespeare's plays.
This is perhaps one of the largest mainstream examples of the Oxfordian theory of Shakespeare authorship. It will be interesting how the public reacts to the theory... if they can get past a Roland Emmerich historical epic over his usual brand of movies.
